Today is a good example of using complimentary colors ( red and green) to mix almost every color in this painting. This limited palette is made more cohesive by using Viridian green and Permanent Rose as the neutral shadows on the pitcher and the plate.
They make a lovely gray when they allow themselves to mix and mingle on the paper. What I have learned so far : Mass for Value Mix for Color is my new bumper sticker. I have it plastered in the front of my head when I am painting at all times. For more about this please join my Youtube channel Here
